My Week In Short

It has been a couple of weeks since I have been here...

I did a bit of traveling around the district and was invited to the South Everett Mukilteo Christmas party. This club, like so many others in the District, knows how to have a good time and great fellowship. This was no exception, with great gag gifts wonderful food and great fellowship.

I also traveled to Chilliwack for their fantastic Christmas program. This is a “not to miss” event. We were delighted with a great lunch and wonderful entertainment. There were dancing ballerinas in their tutus (see their facebook page for pictures), singing, history, poems, music, and great fellowship. It was a wonderful way to start the celebration of Christmas.

This weekend I attended Blue Denim. This is a training session for the G-team. Us almost has been DG’s attempt to help with giving advice and training for the up and comers. It was a good time, we hope we did not scare anyone off but gave them some information in order for them to do the great job we know they will do.

I then took off for Vancouver BC where PRIP Wilfrid Wilkinson was the keynote speaker at a Rotary Foundation Celebration Dinner. District 5040 hosted this event and invited many from our District to join the celebration. PRIP Wilf will be RI Foundation Chair starting in July of this year. He spoke about our Polio initiative and said that even though we are “this close” we cannot let up on our donations to this great cause. It will still take many dollars until we see Polio eradicated forever. District 5050 does a fantastic job with our support. I know we will not stop until we reach that goal.

See you next week!
