My Busy, Busy Week!

It has been another fun filled week with loads of Rotary fellowship and interesting events!
On April 9th, I was pleased to present a Paul Harris to a young man who attends our meetings at South Whidbey on a regular basis. His Dad says he is hard to get up on regular school mornings, but on Tuesday mornings he is up and ready to come to Rotary at 7:00am sharp!
He is a delight and certainly lowers the average age of our club. H e is very much like his father with his generosity of time and talent. We have a basketball court as a community project. Jacob set up a table at his Dad’s restaurant and sold tattoos to patrons to raise money for the court. He raised $117.00 and presented it to our club. We are proud to have him associated with our Club!

On April 12th, I dropped into the Burlington Mid-Day meeting. This is a young club, only10 years old, but when I looked at the room filled with Rotarians, I think their average age must be 40. I do believe the guests were the oldest in the room with the exception of the German GSE team member Corey Ertel, who by the way will join Rotary on his return from Germany.
