Dictionaries & Dinner

Last week, I was privileged to take part in the Rotary Club of Marysville’s dictionary delivery to third graders. They have been doing this for five years and the results are showing up in school statistics with improved literacy skills. President Chris Nation told me that they are seeing the younger siblings of those from five years ago and they ask if they will receive a dictionary of their own.

It was a real treat and honour to watch these youngsters receive - in many cases - their very own book for the first time...

On Saturday March 23rd, I attended the Rotary Club of South Everett Mukilteo’s Auction. I found PDG John Bosch there with his whole family. I got a picture but John was moving around and it was blurry. Sorry John, but it was good to see you and your family!

Rumor has it the Club raised over $135,000.00 at the Auction. Congratulations Rotarians!!! I am always so thrilled and honoured to be apart of an organization that accomplishes projects such as these. The funds raised will be vital for the future!
